Protected landscapes and national parks are popular destinations for tourism and recreation. Managing visitor and traffic flows is necessary to balance tourism and nature conservation. Various research projects have been caried out to gain insight in visitor flows, management measures and the ways to plan and manage these areas.

The Veluwe is an important tourist destination. Visitor surveys have been caried out at various locations to gain insight in the number of visitors, the demands and behavior of visitors and their wishes. This report provides a extensive summary of the data that was collected throughout the years and compares the various locations with each other.

Sinds 2001 doen we onderzoek naar het recreatief gebruik van Veluwetransferia en P-Veluwe. Dit onderzoek is een combinatie van kwantitatief en kwalitatief onderzoek. De resultaten ervan zijn in diverse publicatie beschreven. Het rapport “het recreatief gebruik van Veluwetransferia en P-Veluwe” geeft een overzicht van de resultaten.

Recreatief gebruik de Sysselt & de Ginkelse Heide

In opdracht van de provincie Gelderland is het recreatief gebruik van de Sysselt en de Ginkelse Heide onderzocht. Beide gebieden worden intensief gebruikt, de Sysselt vooral door bewoners uit Ede die er hun hond gaan uitlaten. De Ginkelse Heide heeft een meer regionale functie. Vooral bij mooi weer komen veel mensen naar het gebied om er te luieren, vliegeren of van de rust en ruimte te genieten.
